Our stroll through the history and architectural wonders of Wrocław started at Ostrów Tumski. Our guide Bożena Rośkiewicz showed our guests the most beautiful corners of The Cathedral Island. From there we had a wonderful walk along a winding maze of cobblestoned lanes, church spires and vibrantly coloured buildings.
The visit to Wrocław University, one of the oldest collegiate-level institutions of higher education in Central Europe, was another attraction of the day
Our guests from Iceland and the Polish project group were cordially welcomed by our Headmaster Leszek Duszynski. The ceremony was glamorous. The artistic programme performed by Polish project students included a choir performance, a short piano concert, a few songs accompanied by the guitar and a dance show. Everybody was also treated to delicious home-made cakes- all baked by our students.
On Sunday 16 October we went on an exciting trip to the Karkonosze National Park. We started at 7:15 so we were a little bit tired but with a good attitude.
The weather was a challenge. Foggy and snowy. For some of us the way up by ski lift was scary but good fun. It's a pity we couldn't see the whole view because of the fog but the pieces of scenery we saw were unbelievable.
